One of the best ways to keep messes at bay is to prevent them from happening in the first place
Here’s some quick and easy ideas to reduce the clutter and messes in your home.
Wash As You Go
Keep a sink full of hot soapy water so you can wash dishes as you use them. Or if it will be washed in the dishwasher, you can give it a quick rinse.
Have a Charity Box
Keep some kind of box or bag near the front door. Then when you find something that you don’t use or doesn’t fit, put it right into the box.
Wash Your Shower
Keep a sponge in the shower to wipe things down daily. It prevents buildup. Also make sure you’re properly airing out the bathroom to prevent mold and mildew.
Two Minute Tidy
Before you go to bed, set the timer for two minutes and then do a quick pickup where you see it needed. Put away some clean laundry. Put dirty socks into the hamper. Wipe down your bathroom counter. Do something small and simple every evening and you’ll see amazing results.
Line Your Crispers
In your refrigerator, line the crisper drawers with paper towels. This will make any messes like forgotten cucumbers much easier to clean up.
Clean Your Microwave
Fill a microwavable cup with water and then microwave on high for a few minutes. The steam will loosen any stuck-on food making it super easy for you to wipe away with a paper towel or cloth.
Clean Out the Fridge
Regularly spend a minute looking through your refrigerator. Keep a list of what’s in there so you’re not buying duplicate products that go to waste. And take a cloth or a pre-moistened anti-bacterial wipe and wipe down the seals on the doors. This ensures that you’re getting a good seal and save on electricity.
