House cleaning doesn’t have to mean big chores day every Saturday. If you do quick cleaning tasks every day when you have a spare minute or two, your house will stay cleaner and neater.
Dust One Thing
There are many types of disposable dust clothes on the market. Just grab one and dust one thing.
- TV Screens
- Shelves
- Blinds
- Ceiling Fans
- Air Vents
Clean a Mirror or a Window
Keep a glass cleaner and cloth rag or old newspaper in various places in your home. Then grab and clean when you have a spare minute.
Change Towels
Maybe it’s in one bathroom or in the kitchen. But just change it out and toss the dirty towels in the hamper or laundry room.
Sort Paper On the Table
Mail, newspapers, school notices, and flyers have a tendency to gather on the table. Take a paper bag and sort through the items pulling out what you no longer need. Put them right into the recycling bag. Put aside bills that need to be paid.
You can also sort the items on your refrigerator in one minute or less. Remove the appointment reminder cards that have already happened. Remove expired coupons.
Check Your Plants
When was the last time you gave your houseplant some tender loving care? Water them if needed. Snip off dead leaves. And take a damp cloth and wipe off the leaves if needed.
Wipe Down Forgotten Areas
I always keep containers of anti-bacterial wipes in various places around the house. Then, in one minute or less, I can wipe doorknobs, remote controls, light switches, handles and telephones.
